The 3rd Edition CHINAPLAS x CPRJ Plastics Recycling & Circular Economy Conference and Showcase 2022 will be held on September 7 at Radisson Collection Hotel, Yangtze Shanghai, China.

There will also be three parallel sub-forums where industry experts will give a wealth of sharing under the themes of "Recycling Process and Value Chain Co-construction", "Recycling Plastics and Low Carbon Economy", and "Recycling, High-Value Reuse and Green Design".

For example, the business development manager of EREMA will introduce the company's portfolio for PET bottle recycling in food contact end applications.

Besides, the project manager of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation will report the progress and trend of chemical recycling, and the director of sustainability packaging R&D at P&G Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will talk about the company's plastic recycling innovation solutions.

On September 8, the 10th Edition CPRJ Plastics in Packaging Conference & Showcase 2022 will take place at the same venue.

Three parallel sub-forums, covering the topics of “Packaging innovation: Functional new packaging and intelligent production solutions”, “O2O new lifestyle and opportunities for packaging” and “Sustainability: Mono-material, PCR, Biodegradable Technologies”, will again allow deep interaction between industry professionals.

Among the presentations, the R&D director of technology & sustainability at Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific will present “From Concept to Sample, How to Create an Efficient Packaging Innovation Model”, general director of R&D department at Want Want China Holdings Limited will share “Innovative Packaging Under Green Life”, and L.K. Technology Holdings Limited will introduce “Efficient Packaging Molding Solutions for the New Lifestyles”.

Special events to demonstrate PCR and mono-material applications

Apart from presentations and exhibit showcase, two special events in response to the increasing enthusiasm about PCR and mono-material technology will be conducted.

Henkel and Berry were invited to jointly create an environmentally friendly daily chemical packaging sample, demonstrating a successful practice for the industry.

The Schwarzkopf bottle is made from 30% PCR HDPE variegated material and equipped with Berry’s mono-material plastic pump. It breaks the limitation that variegated HDPE bottles can only be downcycling.

This is also Henkel's first application of bottle-to-bottle recycling and reuse of variegated HDPE in the Chinese market.

In addition, ATRenew and Meituan will collaborate to launch an activity that visitors can exchange two waste bottles for the co-branded eco-friendly silk scarf made from recycled materials. A mini recycling line of Meituan will also be on stage.
