AutoFlight performs world’s first formation flight of three eVTOL aircrafts
Leading autonomous electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) technology company AutoFlight successfully performed a world first formation flight of three autonomous eVTOL aircraft with its Prosperity I models in Shanghai, China.
Before this formation flight, the company achieved a world record flight in February 2023 where one of its prototypes covered 250 km on a single battery charge.
While continuing the journey from to production, AutoFlight plans to release a cargo version in Asia next year first, with a passenger version gradually developed in the coming years.
AutoFlight has its dual headquarters in Shanghai and Augsburg, Germany. “We have much more to come,” says Mark Henning, former Airbus Helicopter Engineering Chief and head of the AutoFlight Europe team.
