DSM Engineering Plastics moves its Americas headquarters

Jan 6, 2016

Royal DSM announced that its Business Group DSM Engineering Plastics has moved its Americas headquarters to the nearby Columbia Center property in Troy, Michigan, from its previous location in Birmingham, Michigan.

According to DSM, this move, prompted by recent growth, creates an environment that will help to promote closer collaboration between the company and its customers. The new office will showcase DSM’s products and services, while providing the space and tools needed to better support local demand and development.

DSM Engineering Plastics will occupy more than 31,000 square feet in this new space, which was converted by Kirco Manix from a fitness facility into world-class office space that uses sustainable design elements. The newly refurbished building also includes an Application Development Center where material testing, automotive plastics research, and technology development will take place.

Our new facility allows our employees to improve collaboration with colleagues to more quickly and efficiently work to address our customers’ challenges,” said Richard Pieters, President of DSM Engineering Plastics – Americas. “The addition of a dedicated Application Development Center within our headquarters will further facilitate our ability to support customers in their efforts to develop innovative, new products.”
